Seeds of Plenty is immensely grateful for the partnerships that have supported and inspired growth along the way. We feel that relationships are the foundation for building conscious communities that pave the way for a better planet. Check out our wonderful partners to find out a little more about what they are up to.

NOWBC
NOW BC (Neighbours Organic Weekly Co-operative) provides  locally sourced  organic and sustainable foods and groceries with delivery to neighbourhoods in Metro Vancouver.  This company quite  literally works from the roots up as they support local farmers and companies with integrity. This is a company that carries out its mission and at Seeds of Plenty we support just this kind of thing – “ building community around sustainable food choices”.

BABYVIBE

ORB CLOTHING
Founder, Tricia Sedgwick, herself is an OrbGirl, a natural fit when you learn about this company and its mission. What’s not to like with a philosophy like this one?,  “Orb believes in honesty, fairness and integrity. So whether you work for us or wear us, you’ll be making a statement that you can feel good about.” If you check out their website you will likely agree.

TERRA NOVA SCHOOLYARD SOCIETY
The story of the chef and nutritionist just makes sense…Chef Ian Lai and Nutritionist Tricia Sedgwick have 2 different career paths but a similar vision. Both love food. Both love growing. Both love kids. Both career paths inspired the beginning of youth and school gardens and Terra Nova Schoolyard Project is the result of Chef Ian’s labor of love. As a past board member, Tricia has observed the exponential growth of this project, which inspires her to continually expand and grow with her own project, The World In A Garden.

Tricia has been privileged to work in collaboration with this wonderful organization on numerous occasions and is currently a director on the FF/CF stewardship team.

UBC FARM
This farm offers a little piece of serenity amidst the hectic happenings of a busy city. As the only urban farm in Vancouver, the UBC farm is a precious resource and educational piece for the community at large.  If you would like to be involved in helping to sustain this wonderful initiative please check out Friends of the Farm.

NORTHWEST CULINARY ACADEMY OF VANCOUVER
Seeds of Plenty's first large batch of cookies were produced in the beautiful kitchen of this progressive and unique chef training school built, owned, and operated by its dedicated chef instructors.

“Here (in Pakistan and Afghanistan), we drink three cups of tea to do business; the first you are a stranger, the second you become a friend, and the third, you join our family, and for our family we are prepared to do anything – even die.”

  • Haji Ali, Korphe Village hief, Kaakoram Mountains, Pakistan. Quoted from the book “Three Cups of Tea”
